BEFORE WE PROGRESS BACKWARDS TO MY 'BORN IN THE BUSH' HISTORYONICS? AND ANOLOGY. I have shot this page in as a tribute to the wonderful mammals that frequent BRUNSWICK HEADS NSW, OZZIE LAND.
But first I must relate a rather horrendous story. In 1964 there was a horrible place called BYRON BAY WHALE KILLERS AND BUTCHERS, sic. These bastards had been operating for some time and closed down in this year.
In 1954, as a young bloke of fourteen, my mother took me to see this awefull place. The smell emenating from this flenshing and processing factory was woefull. Huge whales, mostly the humpback species, would / were being winched up onto the "butchers" deck and stripped of their blubber. The sight was obnoxious, the smell was crass, it was grossly cruel, the sight haunts me to this day.
AND TO THIS DAY THE PILAGING GOES ON IN OTHER COUNTRIES. I can see why people like GREENPEACE and other organisations are so confused and beligerant......
And the political people? Well what can one say? Let me try; "weak as piss you bastards".
Australia had been guilty of this dreadfull whale killing practice, "processing factories" were in several states of the nation, we stopped why cant the protaginist mongrols do the same?
